Abstract:
Introduction: Breast cancer is rare and malignant disease in men that includes %1 all cancers of men. the disease usually occurs in people who are older than 55. According to the statistics that have been published by ministry of health s bureau of cancer, there were 240 cases of male breast cancer that has been diagnosed in 1388, who were involved to severe mental crisis because of changes in physical conditions and body image. One of the reasons can be that men believe only women s breast is sexual organ and this belief persuades the man to not adopt with this problem and not follow it up. Staff are responsible for assessing this patients carefully and realizing theirmentally needs. Materials and Methods: In this study, we have assessed more than 20 essays (which have been published since 2010 to 2015) which have term of male breast cancer in sid.pubmed.magiran.googleadvance. websites. Results: Nurses can help the patients to adopt with problems by supporting them and consultation and appropriate educations. Understanding of feelings of patients about how the illness is and if they want to continue the treatment or not and the reasons of their decision can help staffs interventions. Nurses should consider individual situation of patients with breast cancer because this organ is women s from most of people s point of view. Discussion and conclusions: The role of nurses to look after men, who are suffering from breast cancer, is supportive .in addition , nurses should take general cares and also special cares because of special disorders.
