Performance of photovoltaic arrays with different configurations under partially shaded conditions abstract

One of the issues that undermine the reliability of the photovoltaic arrays is the problems regarding partial shading. Several configurations are proposed to compensate the partial shading effects (e.g. SP, BL & TCT). In this paper, we investigate the performance of these configurations under partially shaded conditions both by means of simulation and experiment. We have shown that TCT configuration can reduce the amount of power loss caused by shading with the price of more wiring
