Abstract:

In this paper a method has been proposed for control of electric ventricular assist device (EVAD) system. For this purpose PID controller has been employed. A Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control is the most commonly used algorithm in industr ial control systems. This controller has four parameters that their values have been obtained with optimization and genetic algorithm due to its high speed and accuracy. genetic algorithm is a computational method that is used to solve optimization problems of different types. By using of proposed controller it is possible to control the system more effective. To investigate the proposed controller performance, simulations have been performed with several different objectives in the MATLAB software environment and the results are compared with the results obtained from the traditional PIDcontroller. Simulations confirm the optimal control of the controller. The proposed optimization method has a wide range of changes in the parameters of a robust performance system.
