Hybrid solar cell based on organic-inorganic perovskite halide for next generation OWC abstract

Organic- inorganic hybrid perovskites were first used as visible-light sensitizers for liquid-junction- sensitized solar cells in 2009. Up to now, the performance of the perovskite-based devices has shown a rapid ascending trend that introduced them as a proper alternative for traditional solar cells for many applications such as optical wireless communication (OWC). In this work, two types of organic –inorganic perovskites-based on CH3NH3PbI3 and CH3NH3PbBr3 are used as visible light sensitizer in hybrid perovskite solar cells. The optical properties and the dependency of the device performance on the sensitizer layer reveals that higher efficiency can be achieved by CH3NH3PbI3 sensitizer however the device with CH3NH3PbBr3 is more stable
