The Importance of Data Collection in Meta-Analysis

Obtaining a possible accurate result in every research can be regarded as the most important goal of any study, therefore, every attempt on the part of the researcher is toward satisfying such issue. This issue can be more critical regarding the implementation of a systematic review and synthesize prior studies which can be illustrated in meta-analytic studies. As meta-analyses are constructive in nature in terms of identifying future trends based on prior empirical works, the generalizability of the results would be considered in each of the chronological stages. Although all of the stages are determinative in nature, this paper aims to focus on data collection stage to clarify some of the main points of this stage. Thispaper also aims to encourage and clarify producing accurate results of metaanalysis concentrating on data collection stage. As this paper determines data collection role in meta-analysis, second language (L2) researchers might find it interesting for following more information of the domain.
