Concurrent Control on Resouce Planning and Revenue/Expenditure Estimation in Large-Scale Shell Material Emban ment Projects Management U sing Di screte-Event Siulation

Resource planning in large-scale construction projects is a complicated manage ment issue requiring m echanisms to facilitate decision- aking for managers. In the pres ent study, a computer - aided simulation mo del is developed based on concur rent contro l of resources and r evenue/expenditure. The proposed method responds to the dem and of reso urce management an scheduling in shell material embankment ac tivities regarding large-scale da m projects of Iran. The model develops a metho dology forconcurren t manage ment of resources an d revenue/expenditure estimation of dam s projects. This real-time con trol allows managers to simulate several scenarios a nd adopt th e capability of complicated wor ing polici s. The ma in contrib ution of the proposed model is to employ sim ulation opt imization f or analyzing various s enarios of revenue/ex penditure n large-sc ale resource planning projects. R esults’ validation sh ows that t e proposed model will assist pro ject mana ers as a decision sup port tool incost-efficient executive policymaking on r esource co nfiguration . Also, an alytical in vestigations of trend curves indicate the fluctuatio ns of cost/benefit beha vior within the study p eriod.
