Abstract:

Today, nanotechnology has revolutionized a wide range of sciences. The application of nanoparticles in the color and polymer production industry has produced a variety of nano-coatings with upgraded specifications. In this study, changes of cooling load is considered utilization of nano coating on the facade of the buildings. A composed slab covered with coating containing nano-titanium dioxide is simulated by the Opaque building software. The results are discussed focusing on the amount of sol-air temperature, and the rate of heat gain changing with the wall direction, and the thermal properties of the wall surface. Results indicate on the higher sol-air temperature and the higher value of heat gain when nano coat is applied on the walls.
