Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using three types extracts of opuntia humifusa for first time. The flavonoids in the extracts can act as reducing and capping agents. Two techniques that used to characterize synthesized AgNPs are UV-visible spectrophotometer and DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering). The absorbance peaks were in range of 420-450 nm and the obtained information of DLS showed good results. We are glad to announce that this method is a rapid, non-hazardous and cost-effective for synthesis of silver nanoparticles at room condition.
