Study the significant Factors on repeating offences (recidivation) and returning to prison case study in Kashmar

the aim of this study is to investigate the factors effective in repeating offences and the return of individuals to prisons. This research has been carried out through systematic random sampling method among 200 prisoners in Kashmar Prison in 2012 by questionnaire. Face validity was used to measure validity of the questionnaire and reliability was measured through internal consistency method and the Cronbach alpha coefficient. The Cronbach alpha coefficient was 75%. In this research, the dependent variable of repeating offences was based on the model or pattern of social association with dimensions of attachment interest involvement religiosity and the Sutherland differential pattern by the dimensions of association, learning and the labeling model by the dimension of labeling distrust which were measured through researcher made questionnaire .Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis have been used for data analysis. The results indicate that, there is relatively weak relationship between social association and repetition of offences. There is also negative and relatively weak correlation between differential association and repetition of offences, while, there is positive and significant relationship between labeling and repetition of offences. Multivariate regression analysis indicates that the maximum effect is related to the differential association variables and the social connections. By the increase in each differential association, 85% of increase in recidivism and 79% increase in effects of social ties is observed
