Management of Electrical Smart Grids with the Presence of Wind Turbines for Reducing Costs and Air Pollution abstract
The consumption of electrical energy is increasing noticeably in industrialized and developing countries. Having a smart grid and using responsive loads (demand response) are necessary to provide the consumers with reliable and high quality power. The fuel of the fossil-fuel power plants is a very important issue that is one of the serious concerns of power companies due to the price increasing of energies and their temporality. In addition to this is the problem of air pollution, which has recently become an important worry in various countries, another limitation for supplying consumers with their requisite energy. In this way, fossil plants can’t provide the needs of a growing number of subscribers, all alone. Therefore, the use of renewable energy resources such as wind and solar power plants in a smart grid can be very helpful. The purpose of this paper is modeling wind turbines in smart grids and optimizing cost reductions and the emission of greenhouse gases
