The Design of Tranquility House in Improving the Quality of Life for the Elderly

Today, with advances in technology and subsequent advances in various societies, we are seeing tremendous progress in the design of spaces and buildings. As a result, more attention has been shifted to a particular stratum of society, such as the elderly. Therefore, the design of tranquility houses have become very important in recent decades. However, the lack of a coherent design principles has led to the design of tranquility houses that only focus on social disengagement issue. An appropriate design of the elderly house and the an innovative design for their life can improve their quality of life, health and life expectancy. This paper, by using a descriptive method and library data collection, tries to overview the influencing factors as the design principles for the elderly place of residents.
