Cost and technical investigation on different types of sea wave energy harvesters abstract

Wave energy is as source of power that comes from the endless march of the waves as they roll into the shore then back out again. Unlike fossil fuels, creating power from waves creates no harmful byproducts such as gas, waste, and pollution. There are different devices to convert the wave energy to electrical one such as Pelamis, Point Absorber, Oyster, Oscillating Water Column, Terminator Device, Submerged Pressure Differential (SPD) and Anaconda Bulge Wave. In the presented paper, for the first time, the technical concepts of all of the aforementioned methods and devices are presented and they are compared in the sense of efficiency, installation, structural and total price, annual power and energy price. The presented results in this paper can be useful in selecting appropriate method for wave energy harvesting by summarizing different concepts of them.
