Abstract:

Complex and rapid changes combined with global competition have made knowledge the main driver of business success for achieving competitive advantage. To this end, it is crucial to understand the barriers before implementing knowledge management, because without eliminating barriers to implementation, knowledge management will be useless and ineffective. Considering the importance of this subject, the purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive approach to identify barriers to the implementation of knowledge management in Iranian organizations. For this purpose, the results and findings of former researches were analyzed by Meta-Synthesis approach in this study. Through comprehensive studies on barriers to knowledge management implementation invalid domestic databases, 100 papers have been found and after further investigation, 42 articles have been accepted. The results of the research are categorized in three dimensions, nine components, and sixty-six indicators. The three main dimensions are intent, context and content. Nine components are technical and technological barriers, environmental barriers, competitive barriers, economic barriers, leadership and strategic barriers, cultural barriers, organizational band human barriers. Each of these nine components includes several indicators themselves.
