Abstract:
Introduction & aim: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. Due to the short recovery time and the best possible performance patients after breast surgeries, Rehabilitation is the main consideration. Many studies have reported flaws in upper limb function in these patients, however, a small number of studies have shown activity limitations and participation. The aim of this study is to raise awareness of the needs of Occupational Performance women with breast cancer and the role of occupational therapists to consider these needs and are responsible in solving problems in Occupational Performance areas. Methods: In this study80 women with breast cancer who referred to Theraputic centers in mosabnejafar hospital mashhad, participated. Using the COPM scale, areas where women had problems with them, according to a semistructured interview was used. Data from the study were coded and analyzed. Result: From 36 problem set by the patients, Problems were placed in Self- care Areas with the highest frequency of 48.8 percent, 30.8 percent in the field of productivity and18.4 percent in the field leisure. Conclusion: The results of this study and previous studies have shown that women with breast cancer due to complications of the disease and also received treatment in Occupational Performance areas areexperiencing challenges that require occupational therapy services to improve the quality of life is required.
