Abstract:

In recent years, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been considered as a new categoryof nano-porous materials which are suitable for storage and separation of gases, catalysts, heavy metal adsorbents. MOFs, based on the type of ligand and functional groups on theirsurface, exhibit various properties. MOFs exhibit a unique catalytic role in the preparation ofhydrogen and methane gas and the synthesis of a wide range of chemical and pharmaceuticalcompounds [1-2]. N-Amino-2-pyridones and 1,4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c]pyrazoles have beenapplied to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’sdisease, Alzheimer’s disease, Down’s syndrome, AIDS, schizophrenia, and myoclonusas well as demonstrating biological properties such as antiviral, , pheromonal, and centralnervous system activity [3-4]. In this work, we have designed and synthesized a MOF, MIL-101(Cr), as an efficient catalyst for promoting the described four components reactions underrefluxing water conditions (Fig. 1).
