Abstract:
The present article studies how translation affects and is affected by capitalism. Many systems such as imperialism, liberalism, globalization, neo-colonialism have played a significant role directly and indirectly in both leading the translation toward a disordered garbled condition as it is today and turning it into a powerful agent. The applied methodology is of the librarian type and it is aimed at recognition of influential factors which are affecting national identity through translation and prediction of what future holds in case the current situation in translation continues. It was concluded that what we have today as translation in Iran (particularly) is far from the translation soul. Translation is meant to get the world nations closer by playing the role of a mediator but currently it is leading all nations toward a particular pole; the world which is led by capitalism.
