The cost function investigation and economic evaluation of micro-CHPs in the distribution network abstract

In recent years, distributed generation units have received much attention due to benefits, such as reducing distribution system losses, freeing transmission capacity, improving voltage profiles and helping to maintain grid stability. In this study, we investigate the micro-CHP of small scale 5 KW, which is co -generation of electricity and heat, and its economic evaluation if used in Iran distribution network. Proposed design evaluation with detailed and advanced cost function including noise, pollution, electricity price, fuel price, electricity uncertainty, heat consumption, reliability, package price, installation, maintenance, and variable price of micro CHP has been compared to other methods used in residential heating. Considering the economic, environmental and reliability issues that were the aim of this study. For this purpose, using the AHP algorithm and weighted evaluation of the parameters studied in the four defined scenarios, the use of micro-CHP is not the most appropriate option for residential use.
