Abstract:

Flow resistance and heat transfer helical shell-and-tube heat exchanger are numerically studied andcompared with a tubular heat exchanger. The simulation is carried out by COMSOL Multiphysics 5.2. theresults show that existing the helix creates the circulation zones which increases the pressure drop and heattransfer coefficient.
