Abstract:

Background & Aim: The importance of resilience along the supply chain has become inevitable toward competitive commercial environment especially when the dealing with disruptions and risks is unavoidable. Although the study of supply chain resilience in a commercial setting has almost reached its maturity, the research on the supply chain resilience applicable to the disasters, more especially healthcare indisasters has yet to be explored. Linking the term resilience to supply chain in disaster relief become more relevant as the environment is extremely disrupted, uncertain, with a complex network of various organizations and resources. The research is aimed toreview the notion of supply chain reslience from commercial perspective and link its relevance and applications to the health care delivery in disasters. Method: A structured review of the literature-based peer-reviewed articles using refinement process is used. The articles were sourced through online databases and keyword classification, such as supply chain resilience and disasters . Findings: We address the key dimensions of supply chain resilience, which some of them are agility, visibility, and flexibility. The research at the end provides a state-ofthe-art picture of a resilient supply chain to be applicable for healthcare delivery in disasters.Conclusion: The outcomes of this review, contribute a baseline for the humanitarian and disaster management organizations to have a better understanding on major dimensions of resilience along their healthcare supply chains.
