Abstract:

The present survey has been conducted with the purpose of analyzing and comparing the relationship between family function, education quality with the amount of mental health and self- esteem of the high school students of Qazvin city in 2015. The present survey was a sort of practical research and its method of conduction was thematic. Through multistage random cluster sampling from among the high schools of district 1 and 2 of education regions of Qazvin, two male and female high schools were randomly chosen from every district, and in the next level, from among the classes of every high school two classes were randomly chosen and 450 male and female students were randomly chosen and eventually 401 students were chosen as final sample. The respondents filled out four questionnaires of family function, education quality, mental health, and self- esteem. Data were analyzed with independent f and t statistics in SPSS software version 22. The results of this t survey indicated that the amount of mental health and self- esteem in students with better family function and higher education quality is more than students with worse family function and lower education quality. Students, due to educational obligations, financial problems, and indetermination of their future are exposed to committing dangerous behaviors.
