Abstract:
Since the vehicles have been equipped with an airconditioning system, vapor compression refrigerationmethod has been used. Also a lot of engine power isconsumed to set up the compressor of this system. So thefuel consumption would be increased. This leads toreduction of vehicle efficiency. But if absorptionrefrigeration which uses exhaust heat of engine would bereplaced to the compression refrigeration, the powerconsumed for the compressor would be eliminated. Indeed,less heat would be excreted into the environment.In this paper Comparison between vapor compressionrefrigeration method and absorption refrigeration isconducted. Afterwards by simulation of the absorptionrefrigeration cycle in EES software, Coefficient ofperformance under changing various parameters such astemperature and flow rate of the exhaust emissions arestudied.
