Abstract:
MIL-101(Cr), one of the most robust and stable MOFs, is widely used in many scientificfields [1,2]. The presence and nature of structural defects of the MIL-101(Cr)-NO2 has beenrecognized as a key factor shaping the material’s physical and chemical behavior. In thiswork, the formation of the missing linker defects have been investigated for the Prins couplingof β-pinene and formaldehyde as shown in the Fig. 1. The results indicate that the defectshave a significant impact on Lewis and Brønsted acidity of the MOF.
