Abstract:
Due to the complexity of the bond behavior modeling between concrete and rebar in finite element models, generally simplified embedded or discrete elements are used so that the analysis of the data is accelerated while reduced the accuracy of results. The present study has attempted to propose a developed model of finite elements by considering macro properties, such as arrangement and layout of aggregates, cement paste and their simulation in modeling, and also to simulate the bond-slip behavior. The results show that the proposed bond model is a model with higher consistency providing some results consistent with those attained in laboratory, moreover, in terms of processing speed, and compared to the complex models, it is satisfactory.
