Abstract:
This paper presents a new method for predicting the stable limit cycle for a free piston Stirling oscillator (FPSO) via continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system. First, a brief introduction to FPSOs is presented and then an overview of the T-S fuzzy system will be described. Next, the T-S fuzzy modeling of the FPSO equations along with the Lyapunov- Krasovskii function which is dependent on the membership function is studied. In effect, the Lyapunov-Krasovskii function and the analysis of the time derivative of the membership function are taken into account to achieve the main purpose of this work. Subsequently, the simulation and one experimental case study are conducted to validate the proposed scheme. Finally, through the simulation and empirical case study, it is found that the presented technique is a reliable method to predict the stable limit cycle for an FPSE.
