Providing and protection of primary sources and basic mother stocks of superior sweet cherry cultivars. abstract
This study was carried out with the main purpose of providing and protection of primary sources and basic mother stocks of seven superior sweet cherry cultivars. ("Pishras-e-Mashhad", "Zard", "Hajyusefi", "Takdane", "Siyah-e-Mashhad", "Dovomras" and "Bing") in three dependent experiments in the Khorasan Razavi Agriculture and Natural Resources Research and Education Center. The first trial aimed to evaluate the effect of cultivrs,three culture media including WPM, MS and QL and three different hormone combinations (0, 0.5 and 1 mgL-1 BA), the second trial aimed to evauate the effect of stock (Gisela 5, MM60 and PHL) and grafting type on the rate of grafting mystique. The third trial aimed to evauate viruses.All experiments were arranged in a completely randomized designed. Each treatment contained three replicates. The results of the first trial showed that WPM and MS medium increased the survival and browning rate in all cultivars, respectively. Also, the cultivars had different response to BA concentrations. So that, the highest survival rate induced in "Bing" and "Pishras-e-Mashhad" cultivars in 1 mgL-1 BA and in "Hajyusefi" cultivar in 0.5 mgL-1 BA.Cultivars had different response to BAP concentrations for shoot number and plantlets quality. So that, "Bing" and "Pishras-e-Mashhad" cultivars showed the most shoot number and plantlets quality in 2 mgL-1 BAP, respectively and other cultivars such as "Hajyusefi" cultivar was the best for these items in 1 mgL-1 BAP.The results of second trial showed that stock and grafting type had significant effect on the rate of grafting mystique. "Takdane" and "Dovomras" cultivars grafted on the MM60 stock had the most rate of grafting mystique. Also, cleft grafting maked more mostique than chip budding.
