Abstract:
We proposed a novel an all optical photonic crystal coupled cavity waveguide switch by using slow light and non linear effect which smaller than is compared with previously. The Length of waveguide is approximately 5 um. We use nonlinear effect of GaAs that the refractive index is 3.5 respectively. Also the effect of changes of slow light length in power is calculated. The value of normalized delay bandwidth product (NDBP) of the band considered is 0.4323. The value with low group velocity dispersion is higher than other structures. This structure is hetero with asymmetric dielectric rods. The design of y–junction is performed using finite-difference time-domain method. Also we perform time stimulaion for the unit cell. The physical principal behind the phenomena of slow light is discussed.
