Abstract:

What Is Artificial Intelligence? Artificial intelligence (AI) is an algorithm-basedstrategy of simulating intelligence programmed in am a n - m a d e m a c h i n e f o r c o r r e c t i o n a n drationalization of actions. AI encompasses a broadr a n g e o f c o n c e p t s , i n c l u d i n g p l a n n i n g ,understanding language, recognizing objects andsounds, learning, and problem-solving. Machine learning (ML) is a way of “training” analgorithm so that it can learn how what? The“training” involves feeding huge amounts of data tothe algorithm and allowing it to adjust itself andimprove. Deep learning is a branch of ML based onlearning data representations, as opposed to taskspecificalgorithms.۱ Bioinformatics, drug design,and medical image analysis are some of thebiomedical applications of deep learning. A clearexample of deep learning is an artificial neuralnetwork, which includes algorithms that mimic thebiological structure of the brain. An artificial neuralnetwork is an information-processing paradigminspired by the way the biological nervous systemprocesses information. It is based on the structure ofneurons and neuronal interconnections.
