Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to Examine the effect of Mindfulness on Personal Empowerment with regard to the role of mediating by using work engagement (at work) District ۴ of the Municipality of Tehran. This study is based on the purpose of the applied type and in terms of data collection is a descriptive research type.The statistical population of research consists of all staff employees of District ۴ of the Municipality of Tehran. The sample size is set to ۱۲۰ people using Cochran equation. The data was gathered through distribution and collection of the questionnaire and the analysis has been performed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences and Lisrel software. The research method was descriptive correlational and mindfulness variable Freiburg's Mindfulness Questionnaire with ۱۴ items and dimensions (self control and Emotion regulation), to measure empowerment variable with ۲۵ items and dimension (Spence Laser Empowerment Questionnaire (opportunity, access to information, support, access to resources, power) Formal and informal power) and Work Engagement Questionnaire with Salonawa and Shofeli ۱۷ and Dimensions (Attraction, Ability, and Endowment) were used to measure variables. The results showed that the study hypotheses indicated a positive and significant impact of Mindfulness with a value of ۰.۵۵ on individual empowerment, Mindfulness with a value of ۰.۴۷ on work engagement, work engagement with a value of ۰.۵۹ on Personal Empowerment. Also, Job enthusiasm in the district municipality has four favorable conditions. Individual empowerment in the district municipality has four favorable situations. Mindfulness has four favorable conditions in the district municipality.
