Abstract:
An inverse analysis is employed to estimate the unknown heat flux distribution over the heater surface of two dimensional enclosures with regular geometries filled by gray participating media, from the knowledge of desired temperature and heat flux distributions over the given design surface. The medium is in radiative equilibrium. The radiative transfer equation is solved by the discrete ordinates method combined (DOM) with two models for simulation of gray media. The inverse solutions are compared by using Standard and modified forms of Teaching-Learning Based Optimization (TLBO); TLBO Standard (TLBO St), TLBO Modified One (TLBO M۱), TLBO Modified Two (TLBO M۲). However, TLBO M۱ shows accurate and reliable results in regular geometry.
