Abstract:

One of the requirements of development in different countries is the empowerment of women, which has both individual and social dimensions and allows women to express their core identity and abilities in all dimensions. On the other hand, information and communication technology is expected to be one of the significant tools to strengthen women's empowerment, increase the flow of information and knowledge, by influencing public opinion, increasing education and employment opportunities, can empower women more than before. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ICT on self-efficacy, social capital and empowerment of women entrepreneurs. The research method is descriptive-correlational and applied in terms of purpose and the statistical population was made up of women members of the Entrepreneurs Association in Tehran province with a sample size of ۳۸۴ people. The research sampling method is available and for appropriate return, ۴۰۰ questionnaires were distributed, of which ۳۵۹ questionnaires could be used for statistical analysis. The results were performed using structural equation modeling using Smart PLS software. The results showed that information and communication technology has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy and social capital and on the other hand self-efficacy and social capital have a positive and significant effect on the empowerment of women entrepreneurs
