Abstract:

Reduction of Global warming, which is the consequence of greenhouse gases emission into the atmosphere, seems as one of the most crucial measures for scientists in the ۲۱st century which should be adopted. In this investigation, the direct impact of the calcination temperature (oC) was studied on the synthesis of Ni-based catalysts, supported on cubic ordered mesoporous Alumina (COMA) which was prepared via pH adjusting approach and one-pot method. After the preparation process of catalysts, their catalytic performance was evaluated in dry reforming of methane (DRM) reaction in different reaction temperature, such as ۶۰۰, ۶۵۰, ۷۰۰, ۷۵۰ and ۸۰۰ oC to determine the optimum experiment condition. N۲ adsorption-desorption, powder XRD and FT-IR analyses were taken to investigate the structure of the prepared samples. The ۵۰۰-NiO/COMA catalyst showed the highest catalytic performance in CH۴ and CO۲ conversion at ۸۰۰ oC equal to ۹۲% and ۹۴% and H۲/CO= ۰.۸. Obviously, the performance of catalysts increased through increasing the temperature reaction, indicated the endothermic characteristic of DRM reaction.
