Adaptive PID Control for an Airplane plus Pilot Using RLS and LS algorithm abstract

PID controllers are simple and straightforward to use; that’s why they play a vital role in industrial applications. In this paper, an adaptive PID controller is used to control aircraft roll and yaw modes in the presence of a pilot. The pilot transfer function makes the controller design more realistic. Both RLS and LS methods are used to estimate and adjust PID controller parameters in real-time, based on reference model output. An aircraft is simulated and controlled by this method, and the results indicate APID superiority in comparison to traditional PID
