Abstract:

The high salt organic wastewater from petrochemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide and wastewater recycling industry have the characteristics of complex composition, high toxicity and poor biodegradability. Actually, the existing treatment methods have the problem of low efficiency, because high salt environment has a serious inhibition on the microbe growth and the degradation ability. The development and application of salt tolerant microorganisms and the energy conversion and resource recovery of pollution components are the key points. In this study, we utilized halophilic microorganisms to assemble novel ecological microflora based on the technical principle of synthetic biology, to degrade the chemicals in salt organic wastewater. Moreover, the developed novel ecological microflora was applied in ۳% salt content wastewater treatment withan integration of classified collection and "one-step" high-efficiency biological treatment, which can reduce the output of activated sludge by ۹۰% while improving the treatment efficiency of industrial wastewater by ۵۰%, the operation cost and treatment cycle of the enterprise were greatly saved.
