Abstract:

Introduction: In the recent years, a special attention has been dragged to the changes in metabolic indices as well as the changes in laboratory indices in patients with Coronary Slow Flow Phenomenon or CSFP. The objective of the present study was the clinical and laboratory evaluation of the risk factors including clinical evidences, inflammatory indices and laboratory biomarkers in the patients with CSFP.Method: In a retrospective study, the demographic and clinical information as well as the laboratory factors of the patients under coronary angiography classified into two groups including patients with definitive diagnosis of CSFP (۸۴ individuals) and the patients with normal coronary status (۸۴ individuals) were evaluated and compared between the groups. Finally, above data were analyzed using the SPSS version ۲۱ software. Results: There were no significant differences between two groups in terms of the mean age, body mass index (BMI), laboratory indices (WBC count, neutrophil percentage, RDW, ۲hpp, uric acid level, lipid profile, MPV) and the inflammatory indices (ESR and CRP). According to the multiple logistic regression statistical model, it was determined that only history of smoking was related to the risk of CSFP so that smoking increase the risk of this phenomenon by about ۲.۲ (P: ۰.۰۳۸, OR: ۲.۱۵).Conclusion: Among all demographic indices, clinical indices and laboratory factors, only the history of smoking is related to the increase of CSFP risk.
