Effective social factors on women tendency to do beauty surgery (Case study of women aged from ۱۵ to ۵۴ living in Malayer Township)

Beauty has had an incredible expanding in Iran. Although it cannot be certainly said that Iran has stood in the first place of the beauty surgery in the world, beauty surgery has faced a significant development in the country during the last years and the number of demands to the surgery is very large if we concern it in respect to the whole population. Today, these kinds of surgeries have found more fans because people know more and more about them. This study, attempts to identify and analyze the effective factors of women’s tendency toward beauty surgery in Malayer Township. Research has been done with the using of gouging method and the technique of questionnaire. The population included women aged from ۱۵ to ۵۴, living in Malayer. Sample is composed of ۴۰۰ individuals. Sampling has been done in the form of multistage from the different districts of the Town. The results indicate the significant relationship between independent variables (getting a desirable marriage situation, economic and social base, self-confidence, using cosmetics, religiosity, using media, social force) and the amount of women’s tendency to do beauty surgery. This relationship has in direct way so that with the increasing of each of these stated independent variables, the amount of women’s tendency increases. Among these variables, desirable marriage, using cosmetics and religiosity have the most impact on dependent variable so that having a high economic and social position and also self-confidence have a few effects on tendency.
