Abstract:

Background: Using clinical guidelines by physicians is essential in improving the quality of health services.Aim: Given the lack of appropriate and comprehensive tools in this field, the present study was conducted to translate and evaluate the psychometric properties of the questionnaire of factors affecting the use of clinical guidelines from the physicians' point of view.methods: After obtaining permission from the designers of the questionnaire of factors affecting the use of clinical guidelines from the physicians' point of view, this tool-making study was translated into Persian by the translation-re-translation method. The validity ofqualitative and quantitative content was evaluated by ۱۰ specialists and formal qualitative and quantitative validity was evaluated by ۱۰ physicians. Internal consistency was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha and the stability of the questionnaire was assessed by retesting and calculating the intracluster correlation coefficient. Results: The content validity index (CVI) and content validity ratio (CVR) of all questionnaire items were higher than the acceptable level. The effect score of all items in the questionnaire was greater than ۱.۵. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the questionnaire was ۰.۷۷ and the intracluster correlation coefficient of the questionnaire was obtained to be ۰.۹۸, both of which were acceptable. Conclusions: The results of the present study indicated that the questionnaire of factors affecting the use of clinical guidelines from the physicians' point of view has the necessary validity and reliability and can be used as a suitable tool to assess the factors affecting the use of clinical guidelines.
