A review of breast cancer detection using machine learning and image processing

Breast cancer is very popular between females all over the world. However, detecting this cancer in its first stages helps in saving lives. Radiologists have the ability to predict if the mammography images have cancer or not, but they may miss about ۱۵% of them. There is a chance of fifty percent for fatality in a case as one of two women diagnosed with breast cancer die in the cases of Indian women. Breast cancer constitutes a significant threat on women health and is considered the second leading cause of their death. Breast cancer is a result of an abnormal behavior in the functionality of the normal breast cells. Therefore, breast cells tend to grow uncontrollably forming a tumor which can be felt as a lump in the breast. In this article we tried to review many articles such as Breast Cancer Detection using K-nearest Neighbor Machine Learning Algorithm, Breast Cancer Detection Using Machine Learning Algorithms, Breast Cancer Detection using Machine Learning Way, Breast Cancer Diagnosis Using Image Processing and Machine Learning for Elastography Images. After reviewing the articles, it was concluded that the method used in the article Breast Cancer Detection using Machine Learning Way, can provide a reliable result with an accuracy of about ۹۸%.
