Investigating the extent of cyberspace harms and its relationship with academicconflict and academic failure of elementary school students in rudbar city in the daysof Corona with the mediating role of academic well-being abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of cyberspace injuries and its relationshipwith academic conflict and academic failure of elementary school students in Rudbar during thecorona with the mediating role of academic well-being.MethodDescriptive-correlational research method. The statistical population of elementary school studentsin Rudbar city in the academic year 2020-2021 was that 384 students were selected using theCochran's formula in a stepwise cluster method and based on the entry and exit criteria in thesample group. The research instruments were cyberspace harm questionnaires, Rio AcademicInvolvement (2013), Student Academic Outcome Assessment, and Academic Well-Being TomininSweeney et al. (2012), which were used to collect data. Pearson correlation coefficient and pathanalysis were used to analyze the findings using SPSS software version 26.ResultsThe results of the research showed that academic well-being has a mediating role in therelationship between cyberspace injuries with academic conflict and academic failure ofelementary school students in Rudbar city in the days of Corona and the use of cyberspace isrelated to reduction of academic conflict and academic failure of students .DiscussionIncreasing the use of cyberspace by students is not in the interest of their academic well-being andthreatens their mental health due to reduced physical activity and neglect of proper nutrition andsleep, and reduces academic conflict and ultimately their academic failure. Therefore, parentsshould monitor the use of related devices while monitoring their children's use of cyberspace.
