Abstract:

In this study, the reinforced blends of polylactic acid and polyolefin elastomer with different amounts of organoclay were prepared via the melt mixing method. The surface roughness and rheological properties of the neat samples and their nanocomposites with a hybrid of organoclay and silver nanoparticles were investigated. The results demonstrated that the surface profile of the samples incorporated with nano additives led to rougher. It was also found that the addition of nanofiller increased storage and loss modulus versus angular frequency corresponding to the interaction between polymer and reinforcements and their higher intrinsic modulus
