Abstract:
In this study, the synergistic effect of nanoparticles with vegetable oil has been investigated for the first time to prevent asphaltene precipitation. For this purpose, three types of nanoparticles (Al۲O۳, Fe۳O۴, and NiO) and three types of vegetable oil have been used to change the onset of asphaltene precipitation. Among the nanoparticles, the Al۲O۳ nanoparticle showed the best performance and could increase the onset of asphaltene precipitation by ۵۰%. Coconut oil, hazelnut oil, and wheat germ oil were also able to increase the onset of asphaltene precipitation up to ۴۸%, ۴۸%, and ۵۰%, respectively. The synergistic effect of Al۲O۳ and wheat germ oil also succeeded in increasing the onset of asphaltene precipitation and was able to increase the onset of asphaltene precipitation. The results showed that with the increase of nanoparticle concentration up to the threshold concentration (۱۰۰۰ppm), the onset of asphaltene precipitation increases, but after this concentration, the onset of asphaltene precipitation decreases
