Abstract:

In this research, pre-germination priming with the osmotic solution was used to improve the germination percentage of Keluss. Seeds in a Petri dish with concentrations (۰.۱, ۰.۲, ۰.۳, ۰.۴, ۰.۵, and ۰.۶%) of KNO۳ solution at a constant temperature of ۲°C for ۱۲, ۲۴, ۴۸, and ۷۲ h were placed in the growth chamber. Germination percentage was different based on the duration of priming as well as the concentration of priming. Based on the germination percentage ۱۴ days after absorption, the most promising priming conditions were treatment with ۰.۴ and ۰.۳% KNO۳ for ۷۲ h at a constant temperature of ۲°C and ۰.۲ to ۰.۴% KNO۳ for ۴۸ h. Both concentrations of ۰.۳% and ۰.۴% in ۲۴, ۴۸ and ۷۲ h showed a reasonable germination percentage of more than ۸۵%. Improvement in growth and increase in antioxidant activity was observed in concentrations of ۰.۲ to ۰.۴ and ۴۸ and ۷۲ h. In general, priming with concentrations of ۰.۲ to ۰.۴% of KNO۳ for ۴۸ and ۷۲ h is a recommended method for better domestication and conservation that can be practically used to increase germination and antioxidant enzymes at ۲°C in the Keluss. This study aimed to develop techniques that improvedKeluss germination.
