Abstract:

Effect of garlic and garlic peel on growth and nutrition parameters of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). ۲۵۰ fingerling of common carp with average weight of ۱۰۷.۰۸±۰.۵۸g were randomly distributed among ۹ tanks, with ۱۵ fish a tank. The experiment was done with ۲ treatments and three replications such as garlic and garlic peel extract. Garlic and garlic peel were incorporated into diets at ۱% and fed to common carp fingerling for ۳۵ days. After feeding trial, growth and nutrition parameters such as initial and final weight, initial and final length, Feed Conversion Ratio, Specific Growth Rate were measured. Results at the end of the study showed that final weight, specific growth rate, feed conversion efficiency and fish fat efficiency ratio were highest in the treatment fed with extract of garlic, which showed a significant difference with control and other treatments (p < ۰.۰۵). The lowest value of feed conversion coefficient was obtained in treatments fed with garlic extract (p< ۰.۰۵).
