Green synthesis of holmium nanostructures using a sol-gel approach abstract
Today, the synthesis of nanostructures and widespread use of the compounds in various fields, including sensors, environment, energy, and etc., has been attracted the attention of researchers. Nanotechnology is a new and applicable technology in various fields. Meanwhile, the use of the green method to synthesis of the nanostructures is importance for environmentally aspects. In this study, the preparation of holmium nanostructures is considered using natural compounds. After the synthesis of the samples, various spectroscopic and microscopic techniques such as Fourier transforms infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and etc. are used for characterization of the products. Then, these compounds are used to prepare a modified electrochemical sensor. The properties of the sensors are studied using various spectroscopic, microscopic and electrochemical methods. Also, the effects of amount of mulberry juice on the morphology and particle size of the nanostructures are evaluated. Therefore, the best product is selected for the next studies.
