Sol-gel synthesis of dysprosium nanostructures through auto-combustion method abstract

The sol-gel auto-combustion process is one of the generally methods for synthesis of nano-scale materials. In the present study the sol-gel synthesis of dysprosium nanostructures is discussed through auto-combustion method. A green approach is used in synthesis steps. Then, the structural, morphological, and other properties of the samples are investigated. Fourier transforms infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is used for structural studies. Also, for more structural studies X-ray diffraction (XRD) is applied. Then, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) is used to investigation of the morphological properties. Using the techniques the structural, morphology and spectroscopic properties of the dysprosium nanostructures are investigated. The studies show the nanostructures can be an appropriate candidate for catalytic applications.
