Paleogeography of Iran in Eocene

According to paleogeography of Eocene sea in large area of Iran country, there are some distinctive basins which are different from each other and mentioned as “central Iran basin”, “Alborz basin”, “Zagros basin” and “kopet-dagh basin” that these basins have been studied. Some of them are different from viewpoint of their sedimentary environment and lithostratigraphy beds compostion. In connection of biostratigraphy and lithostratigraphy studies which will present in this research paper, it can be said that the most Eocene deposit prondings have been done in Alborz mountain region (especially Karaj canyon) and someparts of central Iran which its describtion will be presented,although the studies of other parts of Iran are important and play a main role in comparison and communication with other basins.The purpose of presenting this research paper are first, pondering the stratigraphy’s specifications of above-mentioned basins. Second,estimating facies, environment of sedimentation and paleogeography of basins, separately. To do that, the sequence of stratigraphy and facies of each region have been described, in addition, sedimentary environment each formation has been described by its sedimentology properties. Finally, each basin has pondered according to its faults performance, orogenic phases and paleogeography.
