Investigating the Influence of Electromagnetic Loads on Nonlinear Vibration Behavior of FGM Rotors abstract
This study focuses on exploring the impact of electromagnetic loads on the nonlinear vibration characteristics of functionally graded material (FGM) rotors. The nonlinear governing equations are derived using Hamilton's principle, and the Galerkin method is employed to convert the partial differential equation into an ordinary differential equation. The multiple scales method as an analytical approach is then utilized to obtain the modulation equation. The numerical results demonstrate the influence of the volume fraction index of ceramic and metal components in the FGM rotor on the frequency response diagrams for primary resonance. Additionally, the effects of air-gap length, electromagnetic load, and vibration modes of the rotor on the nonlinear responses are also investigated.
