The effect of treatment of Helicobacterpylori patients on stomach cancer. Systematic review

Background: Stomach cancer (SC) is a disease in which malignantcells form in the lining of the stomach. This cancer is thefifth most common cancer and the third most common cause ofcancer death in the world.Helicobacter pylori (H.Pylori) are responsible for the mostcommon area in the world population. About ۳۰ to ۴۰ percentof people in the United States are affected. This mass can be inthe stomach for years, but the person does not show any specialsymptoms. Our aim in this study is to investigate the effectof SC in people with H.Pylori in two treatment and placebogroups.Materials and Methods: In this systematic review study, thisstudy was conducted by searching keywords in PubMed, GoogleScholar, and Science Direct databases until March ۶, ۲۰۲۳.The inclusion criterion was to be aligned with the main purposeof the study and the exclusion criterion was incomplete informationand lack of access to the full file of the articles.Findings: ۱۲ entered articles included ۲۱۷۷۸ people. ۱۰۳۳۰have been placed in the treatment group and ۸۷۱۱ in the placebogroup. The number of people who got SC after receivingHelicobacter pylori-specific treatment was ۱۸۹(۱.۸۲%) peopleand the number of people with stomach cancer in the placebogroup was ۳۱۷(۳.۶۳%) people.Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, sinceH.Pylori can be effective in reducing the probability of SC, it isnecessary to take necessary measures to reduce the number ofpeople suffering from this cancer in order to avoid the economicand social burden caused by this. The disease can be prevented.
