Strategic outsourcing is a vital factor for companies engaging within the field of supply chain management. Strategic outsourcing is used by most companies through identifying, evaluating and selecting appropriate suppliers to establish a long term partnership relations; it sometimes can be conducted mentally or intuitively. Currently, methods applied for strategic outsourcing are mostly mentally and a few actually have dealt with strategic outsourcing in practice. Since a company tries to outsource an important part of its business, it gets reliant on its suppliers. Accordingly any one weak decision made by the company in this regard may lead to irretrievable damages to the company. For this reason, we first take a short glance at the existing optimization simulation methods, and then Kim-Nelson algorithm is utilized to select strategic suppliers of an Iranian software company
