Elastase enzyme activity and stability under the influence of phenanthrene toxic compound using docking and TM and FTIR methods abstract

Phenanthrene is a type of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) of organic pollutants, PAHs are mainly derived from human activities related to pyrolysis and incomplete combustion of organic matter. Air with a high concentration of PAHs causes many adverse effects on various types of organisms, including plants, birds and mammals. In this study, the activity and performance of elastase enzyme under the influence of phenanthrene were investigated through FTIR, TM (thermal stability) and docking methods. The results showed that phenanthrene has an effect on the secondary structure of elastase and this enzyme has become more unstable due to the effect of phenanthrene.
