Abstract:

This review article examines the challenges and opportunities of using virtual learning platforms in English language instruction. The integration of virtual platforms in education has transformed the teaching and learning landscape, offering unique prospects and complexities. The article explores the advantages of virtual platforms, including access to authentic language resources, collaborative learning opportunities, and personalized instruction. However, it also addresses challenges such as technological barriers, limited face-to-face interaction, assessment and feedback mechanisms, and the need for teacher training and support. Through a systematic review of literature, this article provides valuable insights and practical recommendations for educators to effectively leverage virtual learning platforms in their English language classrooms. Understanding and addressing these challenges can unlock the potential of virtual platforms for creating engaging and effective language learning environments.
